POLICE have issued an alert for the Radcliffe area following reports of men peering into cars and garages.
Four suspicious males have been spotted in the area, seemingly eyeing up valuables.
Greater Manchester Police's Bury North team posted the warning on their Facebook page.
The four men are described as having Irish accents, wearing high-vis jackets and grey shorts.
They were seen knocking on the homes of elderly residents in the area of Grindsbrook Road and asking occupants for work.
Greater Manchester Police said: "Radcliffe residents should be alert and also keep an eye out for their elderly or vulnerable neighbours and report any suspicious activity to the Police on 101."
