POLICE and Communities Together (PACT) meetings give residents the chance to raise their concerns about crimes and anti-social behaviour.

But during the covid-19 health crisis, PACT sessions in Bolton, like elsewhere, have been cancelled to help avoid the spread of the virus.

Despite the absence of speaking to officers face to face about their worries, people are being urged to share their thoughts online so their messages reach officers.

A police spokesman said: "In the absence of PACT meetings due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can pass on any concerns you have in your area via the Greater Manchester Police website.

"This will then be forwarded to the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team.

"Please remember, this is not an alternative way of reporting crime or something which is happening now and needs a police response.

"For non-emergencies, please call 101 or use live chat on our website. For emergencies, always ring 999."
