A CAR which was displaying false registration plates has been seized by police in Breightmet.

The vehicle was dumped in front of driveways on Burnmoor Road overnight.

Officers arrived at the scene, and after finding that the car had false plates, arranged for the vehicle to be taken away.

A GMP Bolton North spokesman said: "Officers from the Breightmet Neighbourhood Team have seized a vehicle from Burnmoor Road.

"It was abandoned overnight, blocking the driveways of local residents.

"The vehicle was also found to be displaying false registration plates."

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a stolen motorbike was recovered by police from a property on Great Lever.

Officers then gave it back to the vehicle's rightful owner.

A GMP Bolton North spokesman added: "Great Lever Neighbourhood Team have recovered a stolen motorbike from an address on Great Lever after an officer saw it being ridden around the estate.

"Bike reunited with the owner."
