EAST Lancashire's total number of coronavirus cases rose by 167 over the weekend- with double figures being recorded in all but one borough.
The Ribble Valley was the only place were a single number figure of new infections were reported - with their total case toll rising by six to 252 over Saturday and Sunday.
On the opposite end of the scale, cases surged by 59 in Blackburn with Darwen, where a total number of 2,097 have now been recorded since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The second highest number of new cases was reported in Hyndburn. where the total number of cases grew to 613 after 39 positive results.
Burnley saw 25 people added to the borough's number of total cases, which now stands at 25.
In Pendle, 18 people returned a positive test result over the weekend, bringing the total number of cases there to 1,011/
Rossendale recorded 20 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total there up to 424.
