A CAR was set on fire in the early hours of this morning and police have launched an arson investigation.
Farnworth Fire Station crew members were sent to Magnalls Fold Close in Worsley at around 12.25am where they found a vehicle ablaze.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and police were called.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "At around 12.25am on Sunday, September 6, police were called to reports that a car was on fire on Magnalls Fold Close, Worsley.
"Officers attended alongside Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and the fire was extinguished.
"An investigation is ongoing and enquiries have since established that the fire was started deliberately."
"No arrests have currently been made."
