Police seized a 250cc motorbike in Atherton on Saturday evening after it was caught travelling at 47mph in a 30mph zone.
The bike was stopped on Gibfield Park Avenue and the rider was later found to be a provisional licence holder.
No L plates were displayed and the motorbike was also carrying a passenger, which is illegal on a provisional licence.
The rider was reporter for the offences
Greater Manchester Police said: "The rider of this Kawasaki was recorded at 47mph in a 30 zone, found to be provisional licence holder.
"There were no L plates the bike was carrying a pillion passenger. The Bike is a 250cc.
"Reported for all offences and motorbike seized under section 165 RTA."
