A CANAL-SIDE housing scheme for eight townhouses could be coming to Sale if plans are given the green light.

These are the artist's impressions of the project which have been submitted by DEN Architectural Design Consultants and CARD properties.

The plans would see the transformation of the land on Danefield Road – which is currently occupied by office and warehouse buildings – into a contemporary residential development totalling 9,000 sq ft.

The site is next to the Bridgewater canal, the scheme will comprise eight three- and four-bedroom townhouses, as well as associated car parking and designated cycle storage plus landscaped external grounds. It has an estimated build value of £1.5million pounds.

David Denton, director and founder of DEN, said: “Following an extensive design process, we’re thrilled to be in a position to submit plans for this development.

"Thanks to the site’s desirable location, the homes would be ideally suited to young professionals or families and are an ideal addition to the area’s ongoing regeneration.”

The area is well connected by transport infrastructure links, close to the M60 and within walking distance from the Metrolink, as well as being just seven miles from Manchester Airport.

DEN, which operates in all areas of architectural design, has been instructed on projects exceeding a build value of £20 million in 2020.

David added: “It’s fantastic to be moving forward with exciting plans such as this.”
