Chris Green, MP for Bolton West and Atherton, is calling on the government and ministers to get more businesses open as soon as possible.
In a video posted on his Twitter page from outside parliament Mr Green said that while it is great that people have been able to go to the pub again and get a haircut, but that other businesses, such as nail salons and beauticians, are being left behind.
He said: "So many more businesses on the high street need to open as soon as possible.
"Whether it's a nail bar, beautician, whether people want a new tattoo, or even go to the gym, it's important for these to open because we want to feel good about ourselves, we want the high street businesses to prosper.
"I'm calling on the government and having meetings with ministers to make sure we can open up as soon as possible."
