Firefighters arrive early on the scene
FIREFIGHTERS responded to a house fire in Whitchurch on Wednesday evening.
The fire was reported shortly before 6pm, at an address in Blackmore Grove and was described as a kitchen fire.
Crews from Whitchurch and Malpas attended the fire including the Incident Support Unit, as well as an operations officer.
The fire was tackled using breathing apparatus, hosereel jets, positive pressure ventilation and a thermal imaging camera.
Also at the scene of the incident was the West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Crews were on the scene until around 6.30pm.
