TIPS are the not the only place where households can recycle their unwanted goods.
Fire stations across Greater Manchester have recycling banks outside where unwanted textile items such as clothes and shoes can be donated.
The Fire Fighters Charity is encouraging more people to get involved with fundraising to boost funds, which you can do by donating your unwanted items.
The large, yellow collection banks can be found outside various stations across Greater Manchester.
From Saturday June 27 all household waste and recycling centres across Greater Manchester will be open seven days a week.
The recycling centres have been reopened in a phased and managed way to minimise queues, with recycling containers at the centres being available as and when recycling processors opened following the lockdown.
Residents are urged to visit the centres only if it is essential, and social distancing measures will remain in place to keep the sites safe to use for visitors and staff.
For information on what can be recycled please visit the Recycle for Greater Manchester website.
