A grade II listed church is set to go up for auction next month — and it could be yours for as little as £195,000.
The Iron Church, in Blackburn Road, saw its last congregation in 1990, being used as a function hall, community centre, and wedding venue ever since.
The auction is being hosted by Pugh estate agents on July 14.
Pugh's managing director Paul Thompson said: "The Iron Church is a spectacular building in a very prominent and busy mixed-use position in Bolton, opposite the Blackburn Road mosque development. It sits on a quarter-acre site and has been refurbished internally, while still retaining lots of its unique original features.
"We believe the property would be suitable for a variety of uses including conversion to residential accommodation and it will be fascinating to see what becomes of it in the hands of a creative and forward-thinking investor."
