BOLTON’S town hall and war memorial have turned red, white and blue in honour of the armed forces.
It comes ahead of Armed Forces Day, which will be marked across the country on Saturday.
Cllr David Greenhalgh, leader of Bolton Council, said: “Bolton is proud to be honouring our armed forces this year despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“The Mayor will lay a wreath at the war memorial on behalf of the citizens of Bolton to remember those brave men and women who gave their lives for their country.”
The town hall will be lit up all week and Dame Vera Lynn’s music will also be played in the town hall square intermittently. The Armed Forces flag is also being flown.
