One unlucky driver will have to dig out their best suit for a date in court after being clocked at almost double the speed limit on a busy stretch of motorway.
Safety cameras on the M55 detected the car travelling towards Blackpool at a whopping 137mph.
The driver will now be summonsed to court where they will potentially face a fine, points on their license and an outright driving ban.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Road Safety Partnership said: "One of our safety camera vans has detected a vehicle travelling at 137mph on the M55 towards Blackpool.
"There is NO excuse for speeds like this, the driver will be invited to explain themselves in court where they potentially face a fine/points/driving ban.
"Slow down, save lives."
