BLACKBURN Rovers’ official charity has delivered its 1,000th food parcel on behalf of a local foodbank as the club works to help the community through the ongoing pandemic situation.
Rovers Community Trust has been working with Blackburn Foodbank throughout the crisis as part of its #OneRoversTogether campaign to provide nutritionally balanced food parcels for those in need.
Since March the Trust has made deliveries for the foodbank three times a week, on average making over 100 deliveries, feeding over 150 adults and 100 children per week.
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust CEO Gary Robinson said: “Our dedicated staff have been incredible in working alongside local organisations and adapting to best serve our community.”
“Through the #OneRoversTogether campaign we hope our initiatives, donations and support work will continue to make a positive difference,” Mr Robinson added.
