NOW this will bring back memories for anyone who was at secondary school in the early 1980s.
This is the new music room at Westhoughton High School in 1982 which was part of a £750,000 extension. The room was soundproofed so that pupils didn’t disturb those in neighbouring classes.
Head of music Lynette Willans is pictured at the piano while students have an array of instruments including large xylophones, clarinets and flute although there doesn’t appear to be a recorder in sight!
