Radio 1 DJ Jordan North turns quizmaster on Sunday night in aid of Pendleside Hospice’s ‘Keep Your Hospice Open’ appeal.

Pendleside ambassador Jordan, who is also a host on BBC 1’s MOTDx, is asking the questions on a Facebook live quiz stream on Sunday at 8pm.

Jordan, who is also donating his Radio 1 Sunday show fee to the appeal, said: “Lots of families are doing quizzes during the present lockdown. I always feel Pendleside and all of its supporters are one big family so the quiz will be very fitting.”

The Burnley FC fan added: “There will be five or six categories and one will be dedicated to the Clarets so if you want to test yourself on your Turf Moor knowledge make sure you join in. While the questions will all be serious we just want people to have a laugh with us. It’s going to be a special night.”

Jordan, who has publicised the appeal on a video on Twitter, will be posing the questions from his London apartment.

As a youngster the 29-year-old was brought up in the Harle Syke area and attended St James Lanehead Junior School.

Sammi Graham, head of events fundraiser at Pendleside, said: “It’s fantastic that Jordan has offered to host the Facebook quiz.

"We aren’t charging for people to enter but would really appreciate them making a donation towards our appeal.”

She added: “Other categories will include TV and Film, Food and Drink, Music and General Knowledge so there is something for all of the family.

"To find the quiz people should go on Facebook and ‘like’ the Pendleside Hospice page and it will lead you to the quiz."
