Royal Bolton Hospital have reported the highest number of coronavirus deaths in one day.
Figures published by NHS England confirmed 11 new deaths from COVID-19 in the borough, bringing the total to 46.
Eight deaths were confirmed yesterday.
Today's data, correct as of 5pm on Tuesday, April 7, announced two new death from Saturday, two new deaths on Sunday, two new deaths from Monday, and five from yesterday.
The daily total now shows six deaths on Saturday, 11 on Sunday, four on Monday, and five from yesterday.
These numbers may rise as deaths are only added to the statistics after a post mortem confirms the diagnosis.
Figures do not include deaths which may have occurred outside hospitals, such as in care homes.
A total of 6,483 people in England have now died after testing positive for the virus.
Of the 828 new deaths, 46 patients had no known underlying health conditions.
All patients were aged between 22 and 103-years-old.
As of 9am yesterday morning, 185 cases of the virus had been confirmed in the borough.
