Police have issued a warning over a new coronavirus scam.
Greater Manchester Police shared an image of the fraudulent text message to raise awareness.
The scammers claim to be from the government, and say the victim owes them thousands of pounds for leaving their property without reason.

Police have urged anyone who receives a message like this to report it to ActionFraud.
Reports can be made online and will ask a few questions about the type of scam you're reporting before collecting some personal information.
