FLOOD alerts have been lifted after Storm Dennis battered Bolton with strong winds and downpours overnight.
The Environment Agency had put out a flood alert for the Upper River Irwell catchment area.
They had said that flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland was expected on Saturday and Sunday around the Rivers Beal, Roch and Croal, Limy Water and their tributaries.
All alerts for Bolton and surrounding areas have been lifted in the past few hours.
Hundreds of flood alerts and warnings remain in place across the country, as Storm Dennis moves across land.
