DID you welcome a bouncing bundle of joy to the world during 2019?

Throughout last year we appealed to Lancashire Telegraph readers to send in pictures of their newborn babies who were delivered across East Lancashire.

And whether your baby was born at hospital or at home, or if you went into labour in an unusual place, we were inundated with pictures from proud mums and dads across the borough.

We have put together a special supplement to celebrate the area’s newest residents - and you can buy your copy today (Saturday, February 15).

One of the first babies to arrive in 2019 was Scott John Nogales, from Rishton, who was born at 1.42pm on New Year’s Day at Lancashire Women’s and Newborn Centre, weighing 9lb 8oz.

In the summer, Sapphire May Jones was born on July 24, weighing 6lb 3oz - in her nanna and grandad’s conservatory in Burnley. Mum Angel Jones was taken by surprise when Sapphire entered the world in her parents’ house while she was popping round to see them.

Penny May Hancock’s family got on extra special present on Christmas Day, when she was born weighing 7lb 8.5oz. Rosabella Valentina Corvino’s babygrow adorably declares ‘Born in 2019’ but only just.

She arrived at 5.03pm on New Year’s Eve, making her one of the last arrivals of the decade.

We have tried to include as many newborn babies as possible but if you missed our appeals for pictures during the year you can still be included in our online picture galleries.

Send your baby’s photograph along with their name, date of birth, weight at birth and the area you live in to melanie.disley@nqnw.co.uk.

And if you are expecting your own new arrival in 2020, make sure you keep an eye out for our appeals throughout the year by visiting lancashiretelegraph.co.uk
