MAGISTRATES have fined a man £50 after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Great Ancoats Street, Manchester, on December 28. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Junnaid Iqbal, aged 34, of Cuckoo Lane, Prestwich, was also ordered to pay £117 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been ordered to undertake 80 hours of unpaid work after he admitted breaching a non-molestation order by sending a series of text messages between October 23 and New Year’s Eve. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Simon Day, aged 48, of Bolton Road, Bury, was also ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £175 in costs and charges.

A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads for 12 months after she was caught drink driving. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Maicy Dagg, aged 18, of St Andrew’s Close, Ramsbottom, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Fiat 500 on Walmersley Road, Ramsbottom, on December 20. She was also fined £120 and was ordered to pay £117 in costs and charges.

A MAN who damaged a couple’s letter box has been fined £40 by Manchester magistrates. Martin Flatley, aged 22, of George Road, Ramsbottom, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on January 16. He was also ordered to pay £20 in compensation plus £117 in costs and charges. A restraining order was made banning him from making threats towards his victims or causing damage at their home.

AN AUDI driver has been ordered to undertake 40 hours of unpaid work after he was caught drink driving on December 21. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Stuart Jones, aged 32, of Seddon Avenue, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in Brighton Street, Radcliffe. Jones was banned from holding a licence for three years and was ordered to pay £175 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £300 after he failed to produce a gas safety certificate for a property in Murray Street, Salford, on April 19 last year. Paul Warren, aged 57, of St Mary’s Road, Prestwich, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and was also ordered to pay £255 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN has been fined £90 after she pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Myrtle Street North, Bury, on December 20. Gabrielle Wood, aged 20, of Walmersley Road, Bury, was also ordered to participate in two days of rehabilitation activities after she admitted breaching a previously imposed suspended prison sentence.

A 17-YEAR-OLD drink driver has been banned from the roads for a year. Manchester youth court heard how the teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was caught driving a Peugeot car in Starling Road, Bury on December 21. A test showed he had 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.The boy, who pleaded guilty to committing the offence, was referred to a youth offender panel for three months and must pay £107 in costs and charges.
