A GROUP of youths were moved on from an Aldi car park by police.

Officers were patrolling hotspot areas for anti-social behaviour when they came across the teenagers at the Westhoughton supermarket last night.

The police patrol was part of Operation Arden, an effort by Bolton officers to reduce anti-social behaviour in the borough.

Officers in the town can use Section 30 of the Anti Social Behaviour Act to disperse groups and ban them immediately from a designated area.

Greater Manchester Police's Bolton South team posted on social media: "Patrolling the hotspot areas for anti social behaviour. A group of youths advised and moved on from Aldi car park in Westhoughton. #OpArden #ASB #Westhoughton."
