A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously injured after being hit by a car.
The man suffered serious injuries after the collision in Little Lever, last night.
He remains in hospital, police said.
A police investigation is under way but no arrests have been made.
A witness reported seeing a large number of emergency service vehicles at the scene at about 8.30pm.
Detectives put a cordon in place in Market Street outside the former Tesco site between Fletcher Street and Chapel Street.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers attended to a report at around 7.50pm last night (Friday, January 24) that a car had collided with a pedestrian in King Street, Little Lever, Bolton.
"The pedestrian (a man) sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
"No arrests have been made."
