CHILDREN at a primary school have stepped up their campaign to save their lollipop lady.

Members of the school council at Radcliffe Primary School have accrued dozens of signatures from staff, pupils and parents alike on their petition to "bring back" their crossing patrol.

Eileen Warwick, aged 74, has served as the lollipop lady in Coronation Road for 33 years.

The Bury Times previously reported that she was "unexpectedly" relocated to Gorsefield Primary School in mid-December.

Last week, the council told the Bury Times the move was "temporary" and cited high levels of staff sickness and absence as the reason for Mrs Warwick's relocation.
