A 'VIBRANT new-style' Post Office is set to open in Breightmet after months of consultation.
Services will move into the Best One newsagents in Bury Road from tomorrow after the shop was renovated.
The new Post Office will open at 1pm and will provide services from two open plan counters recently installed in the store.
It follows a lengthy consultation on the future of Post Office services in the area after the former postmaster stepped down.
Lesley McNally, Post Office Area Change Manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
She added: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
The new Breighmet Post Office will provide a range of services, including international parcels, Special Delivery, Local Collect and home shopping returns, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, paying bills, buying holiday money, accessing bank services, getting insurance, savings and topping up mobile phones.
The Best One branch will open from 8am to 9pm; Monday; 8am to 10pm; Tuesday – Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sunday.
The opening hours will increase to 95 hours a week compared to the previous location.
