COMMUTERS are experiencing delays on the Metrolink this morning.

Passengers have been advised that there are minor delays on the Bury line due to a "Network Rail signalling fault."

Manchester Metrolink tweeted at about 7.30am: "Due to a Network Rail signalling fault we are currently experiencing minor delays on the Bury line.

"Services travelling in both directions between Victoria and Bury are affected. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused."

At about 7.20am, they also announced that trams are currently "unable" to operate between Timperley and Altrincham "due to a Network Rail signalling fault."

Tickets and passes are being accepted on trains bewteen Altrincham and the city centre, as well as on the 245 and 263 bus services.

In an update, Manchester Metrolink posted: "Network Rail are working on this to resolve the signalling fault as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not have a time frame for when this will be resolved."
