ACCRINGTON-based charity Lancashire Women is gearing up to celebrate its 35th birthday with a ‘Circus Spectacular Ball’.

The event at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors will raise cash for the organisation which runs a network of centres across the county including ones in Blackburn and Burnley.

It will take place on Friday March 6 during International Women’s Week hosted by BBC Radio Lancashire’s Hayley Kay.

The night is themed around a circus with entertainment and live music.

Adele Helm, Lancashire Women’s business development office said: “I’m really excited about this event, its set to bring everyone together just before International Women’s Day to celebrate our 35th Birthday.

“We have lots of great things planned, fairground stalls, live entertainment and circus acts for everyone to enjoy, all while supporting a great local charity and really making a difference with every penny spent.”
