POLICE are warning people to slow down as fog is 'showing no signs of lifting'.
Frost and fog are continuing to cover the roads in the region, seriously affecting visibility for drivers.
North West Motorway Police have issued another warning, tweeting: "The fog is showing no signs of lifting. If out and about please make sure you use your lights."
Earlier today, officers reminded drivers not to leave their cars unattended while heating them up, as thieves are on the lookout for an easy opportunity.
The police tweeted: "Frost and fog this morning.
"Just a little reminder, don't leave your vehicle unattended while it warms up thieves take advantage.
"Take care on your journeys and take your time."
