An 11-year-old entrepreneur has raised money for charity, using an ingenious business plan.
Saving up her pocket money, Abigail Johnson from Blackburn, bought gifts and prizes, which she then raffled off to raise funds for patient care at the East Lancashire Hospice.
The budding young businesswoman made hampers full of chocolates and treats, and over the Christmas period she sold raffle tickets to family and school friends, managing to raise a total of £70.
Catherine Leech, Community Fundraiser at the Hospice said: “What a wonderful and inspiring young lady.
"Not only has Abigail raised a fantastic amount, but she has also raised awareness for patient care at the hospice.
"Thank you so much."
