A MAN has absconded from prison.

Mohammed Rehan Awan, from Blackburn, also known as Ron, is wanted after absconding from HMP Kirkham on October 25.

Police describe the 29-year-old is described as Asian, 5ft 9inches tall, has short black hair, a black beard and a moustache, brown eyes and has a piercing on his left ear.

He was jailed in June 2017 for 10 years for drugs offences.
