A BOLTON charity is celebrating after receiving a five-year support fund from the National Lottery.
Wave Adventure provides a fun and supportive environment for their members to take part in team sports and group activities.
The cash boost will enable the charity to continue with their Peak Connections group- which provides mental health support for local people.
Other uses include support for working with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups, volunteer training programmes and Children in Need grants.
Graham Wood, founder and project manager, said: " It is huge. We are a really small organisation but we have been growing.
"It was on a shoestring budget until a couple of years ago. It will have a great benefit on the people of Bolton.
"We're so excited as it is such a huge thing for us. We have had grants for a couple of years but nothing like this."
Some of the activities people can take part in through Wave include canoeing, biking and rock-climbing.
