A BUS operator has pegged its bus fares on two key routes out of Bolton..

Transdev, which operates services across Lancashire and p[arts of Great Manchester and West Yorkshire, announced a New Year price freeze on all tickets yesterday.

It applies to its Service Number 1 from Bolton to Blackburn and he 273 from Bolton to Rawtenstall.

Rail fares rose by an average of 2.7 per cent from today.

The Blackburn Bus Company's service 1 runs via Astley Bridge, Egerton and Darwen.

Rosso Bus's 273 calls at Castle Hill Tonge Moor Road, Walves, Holcombe Brook Hare and Hounds, Ramsbottom Market Place and Edenfield.

Transdev will introduce a new £2.5million fleet of 13 new buses on the Bolton to Darwen and Blackburn service later this month.
