Diamond Bus North West have collected a mountain of food for a local foodbank.
The team held a Christmas Jumper Day earlier in December and
David Clayton, design and marketing manager for the company, said: "We decided to collect for a foodbank because Christmas is about giving.
"We felt we could give something to the people who may be struggling this Christmas."
A variety of cereal, rice, pasta, and biscuits were collected, with even more donations coming in after the food was sorted.
Emergency food parcels can be accessed at various places in the town, such as the Trussel Trust, Bolton at Home, Bolton NICE, and Urban Outreach.
The Farnworth and Kearsley Trussel Trust food bank will be closed until Monday January 6.
Bolton NICE, Urban Outreach, and the local welfare provision run by Bolton Council are available to assist those in need.
Even though some distribution centres are shut, a number of agencies across the community are holding emergency food parcels for those in need.
Contact the One Stop Shop at the Town Hall on 01204 332772 to find out how to apply for the welfare provision scheme.
