ABBA party

WHY not take a chance on us and unleash your inner dancing queen at a spectacular night of music in tribute to one of the biggest pop acts of all time.

ABBA ALIKE are one of the UK’s premier tribute acts to the iconic Swedish phenomenon ABBA and will bringing their show to the Victoria Hall this week.

During a thrill packed evening they will perform all the classic tracks and greatest hits from ABBA’s extensive discography guaranteed to get you singing and dancing all night long, complete with a full live band, visuals and lighting.

They will also be backed by supporting act, 70s glam rock party band, GlamStar.

The show starts at 7pm on December 18 at the Knowsley Street venue.

Toddlers Christmas party

ENJOY some festive fun with your little ones at a Christmas party just for toddlers.

There will be plenty of fun and games as well as visit from Father Christmas at the party at Air Vault Inflatable & Trampoline Park in Wingates Industrial Park from 10am to 12pm on December 18.

Tickets are £10 for one adult and one child and include a children’s box meal and a chocolate treat from Santa.

Festive music showcase

ENJOY a festive music showcase at it takes to the stage at the Little Bolton Theatre.

Nine acts will delight audiences at the fundraiser which is raising money for the venue’s upkeep.

Among the nine acts appearing will be The Cider ‘ouse Entourage, Ted McCray and Holly Jenkinson.

Festive quiz night

PUT your brain to the test at a charity Christmas quiz.

The Spread Eagle pub in Bromley Cross is hosting a festive quiz night from 7.30pm on December 18 and includes a complimentary buffet. Money raised at the event will go to Backup which works to prevent homelessness among 16 to 25-year-olds. Tickets for teams of four to six people are available from the pub or direct from the charity.

Rocking 'Riffmas' gig

HAVE a great big merry ‘Riffmas’ at a night of rocking live music.

Four of the North’s hottest underground bands will be arriving to kickstart your Christmas at The Alama Inn’s Riffmas Cracker night.

Performing will be Chester’s 1968, Manchester stoner psych lords Ritual King, Sheffield psych trio Deltanaut and 70’s infused Mancunians Reptilian Humanoid.

The show starts at the Bradshawgate pub from 8pm on December 20 and is free entry.
