TWO machete-wielding robbers threatened two bar workers before stealing a large amount of cash and running away.

Police have released CCTV footage of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the armed robbery, which happened at around 11.55pm on November 18 in the Ye Jolly Crofters, Chorley Old Road, Horwich.

The two men threatened two members of staff – a woman in her 50s and another in her 30s. Neither were injured but both very left shaken.

The offenders fled with a large quantity of cash in what officers believe is a Vauxhall Astra car.

The first offender is described as being between 5ft 10 inches and 6 ft tall, of a slim build and wearing a navy blue tracksuit and black gloves. He’s believed to have been wearing striped socks over his shoes and was carrying a yellow bag.

The second offender is described as being 5ft 5 inches tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black bubble coat, black track suit bottoms, black trainers with white soles and black gloves at the time of the incident.

Detective Constable Suzanne Barrett, of GMP’s Bolton division, says: “This was a very traumatic experience for the two victims in their place of work.

“We are committed to identifying those responsible and bringing them to justice so we’re releasing this CCTV in the hope that someone saw people in the area at the time who match the descriptions.

“We also want to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information which may assist us with our investigation.
