THE sudden death of a 38-year-old man found dead in his home is being treated as unexplained, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to the property in Gretna Walk, Blackburn, just before noon yesterday.
A post mortem examination has now been carried, which proved inconclusive. Further tests will be carried out to establish his exact cause of death.
No arrests have been made.
A police spokesman said: "We were called around 11.50am yesterday by the ambulance service following reports of a sudden death in Blackburn.
"Officers attended an address in Gretna Walk where the body of a 38-year-old man was found at the scene.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"A Home Office post mortem examination has been conducted and a cause of death has yet to be established. Further tests will be carried out in due course."
Detectives, uniformed officers and crime scene investigators were all called to the scene.
