A CHANCE to tap into a fund for social enterprises is being offered to firms in the East Lancashire area.
An extra £2.3million was recently pledged by The Growth Fund, a partnership between the National Lottery Community Fund for Big Society Capital and Access – The Foundation for Social Investment.
First Ark Social Investment , together with Spring North, formerly known as the Social Enterprise Network for Lancashire, will be offering advice on how county companies can bid to become involved.
Léann Hearne, First Ark's chief executive . said: "We're looking to work with any social enterprises in the area that promote social investment - from an organisation that upskills unemployed people, to a creative enterprise or venture which promotes health and wellbeing."
A workshop takes place at Eanam Wharf Business Development Centre in Blackburn tomorrow, from 10.30am. To book a place, go online to an eventbrite website. More details are available at https://firstarksocialinvestment.com/pre-eio/
