COMMUTERS experienced delays on the M60 following the third crash near the Prestwich and Whitefield junction during the morning rush-hour this week.
A two-vehicle collision, involving a lorry and a car, stopped traffic on the anti-clockwise carriageway near Junction 17 at about 8am.
There were queues while the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder, with journey times increased by about 30 minutes.
The incident occurred in lane one of the motorway with Highways England traffic officers being called to the scene. The vehicle had been moved to the hard shoulder by about 9.30am.
It was the third crash known to have taken place near Junction 17 this week, with incidents previously occurring on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
