TRIBUTES have been paid to a young woman after she died suddenly.

Flowers have been left for Katrina-Frances Fell, from Clitheroe, after her shock death last week.

Friends of the popular 23-year-old, who worked at the Waddington Arms, have also left heartfelt tributes to Katrina on social media.

Paying tribute to her friend on social media, Blackburn entrepreneur and former Apprentice candidate Camilla Ainsworth said: "There are no words that seem enough. I saw you two weeks ago and you seemed the happiest girl in the world.

"You’ve always had the ability to light up any room, make anyone laugh. If only you could see how many people loved you so deeply Katrina."

Police found a body at 9.30am on Friday in woods near Waddow Hall, Waddington Road.

She was taken by ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Friends and family have left flowers at the scene.

Elle Ofoluwa, 18, who worked with Katrina at the Waddington Arms, said: "Katrina was in the pub on Thursday and seemed her normal, bubbly, lovely self.

"You never really know what’s going through someone's head.

"Everyone loved her, she was well-loved in the Ribble Valley."

A police spokesman said: "Police were contacted by the ambulance service at shortly after 9.30am on Friday to a report that the body of a woman had been found in a wooded area near Waddow Hall, Waddington Road, Clitheroe.

"The woman was taken by ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

"Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
