A TEENAGER who was involved in a pub fight went home to get cleaned up and then decided to go back and have another go.

Blackburn magistrates heard his mum was worried about what might happen and called the police and they were able to intercept Connor Kendal.

Kendal, 18, of Stonyhurst Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Stansfeld Street. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said when police arrived at the Havelock pub the people involved in the original altercation had dispersed.

“They were contacted 20 minutes later and told the defendant was returning to sort out the other man,” said Mrs Yates. “When police intercepted him and told him he couldn’t go back he became abusive and was arrested.”

Mrs Yates said while he was being taken to the police station Kendal became unresponsive and was taken to hospital.

“When he came to at the hospital his disorderly behaviour continued,” said Mrs Yates.

Graeme Parkinson, defending, said when Kendal got home he was bleeding and was clearly injured.

“He decided to go back to the public house,” said Mr Parkinson. “His mother was concerned for his safety and the safety of others and called the police.”
