TICKETS for a spectacular concert celebrating of the magical music of Disney are selling out fast.

The concert, featuring 200 singers and brass players led by musical director Chris Wormald, takes place at the Victoria Hall in Knowsley Street, Bolton on Saturday, October 26 with tickets priced just £5.

It has been organised by Bolton Lever Rotary Club to raise funds for the Royal National Institute for the Blind's Talking Book Service.

Mr Wormald, who has been MD of the three ensembles taking part for more than 20 years, has promised a sing-along night with plenty of audience participation with many favourites from the classic Disney movies, like the Jungle Book and Mary Poppins part of the programme.

But the theme of the night will be The Greatest Showman with music from the film starring Hugh Jackman a major part of the evening.

Bolton Lever Rotary Club president Bernard Murphy has hailed local support for the concert.

He said: "We have had a very positive response to the the concert which has been indicated by very encouraging ticket sales. We're looking forward to a very enjoyable and highly entertaining evening, and raising money for a key service for blind and partially-sighted people."

Meanwhile, the club, with Bolton Le Moors Rotary Club, has funded the installation of a defibrillator to Bolton Music Service's recently-opened hub at the historic Mere Hall in Bolton, in addition to one at Sharples School at a total cost of £1,700.
