MUCH-LOVED High Street favourite Woolworths is pictured in this photo, taken sometime between 1950 and 1952.
The store in St James’s Street, Burnley, opened in 1924.
Woolworths had a presence in the town until 2009 when it closed after the now defunct company had gone into administration the previous year.
It saw the closure of more than 800 stores, including in Blackburn, Clitheroe, Accrington, Nelson and Rawtenstall.
