A WOMAN found dead at her home died from pneumonia, a coroner has heard.
At the opening of an inquest into the death of 26-year-old Rosemary Louise Berry, of Cranleigh Close, Blackrod, senior coroner Alan Walsh heard how she was taken to Chorley Hospital on March 8 suffering from a high temperature and drowsiness.
Police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles said she was kept in overnight and discharged the next
day.
But on March 10, just after 8am, she was found unresponsive in bed. Paramedics were called and pronounced death at 9.30am.
A post mortem revealed she had died from bronchial pneumonia.
The inquest was adjourned until March 3 next year when a full hearing will be held.
