Bolton Town Hall will be illuminated in pink and blue next week to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The national campaign is held annually, from October 9 to 15, to raises awareness about the key issues affecting those who have experienced the loss of a child.
Bolton’s landmark building will be lighting up from dusk until dawn on Tuesday, October 15 in support of parents who have suffered the devastation of losing a baby.
The lighting up coincides with the global 'Wave of Light' at 7pm, where people around the world light a candle in memory of the baby or babies they have lost.
Executive Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Cllr Susan Baines, who is also an experienced midwife said: “I know how devastating losing a baby can be for everyone involved. We hope that turning the town hall pink and blue will encourage people to share their memories, talk about their precious babies and commemorate their lives.”
