GREEN fingered growers and artisans showed off their handiworks as Tottington and District Horticultural Society held its September Show.
Bathed in sunshine, Greenmount Old School was packed with beautiful flower displays and wonderful exhibits of vegetables and fruits, wine and crafts — although this year there were fewer eggs than usual. Trophies were presented to the winners in 28 categories by Councillor James Daly, followed by a raffle and produce sale. There was also a display created by Donna Short of Incredible Edibles and a very popular cafe serving drinks and homemade cakes.
Valerie Taylor, from the horticultural society, said: “Once again, our thanks go to everyone who contributed to the show’s success — committee member, helpers, visitors, judges & exhibitors. Thanks for your support.”
