A DISCIPLINARY hearing for an East Lancs doctor - caught up in a cycling doping controversy - will take place later this month.
Dr Richard Freeman, from Ribble Valley, faces allegations concerning his time as team doctor for Team Sky and British Cycling.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service hearing will also hear claims he ordered 30 sachets of Testogel, a banned substance, for delivery to Manchester Velodrome, in May 2011.
He is also accused of denying making the order and claiming the Testogel was requested in error, while making untrue statements it had been ordered for a non-athlete. His conduct is alleged to have been dishonest and with the intention of enhancing athletic performance.
Dr Freeman is also accused of administering non-first aid medical treatment to non-athletes at British Cycling and Team Sky, and failing to maintain adequate records while working for the two outfits. The MPTS hearing, in Manchester, runs from October 28 to December 20.
