AT 6ft tall and weighing in at almost two tonnes each, the two granite column fragments are the largest objects in the Bolton’s Egypt collection.
Now visitors can find out who made them, where they came from and how they got into Bolton Museum at a special lunchtime talk.
The talk — Columns, Capitals and Bolton’s Egypt —takes place on Wednesday, October 30 at 1pm and admission is free.
Bolton Museum underwent a multi-million transformation one year ago to showcase its acclaimed collection.
