A BUSINESSOWNER who shut her salon to open a dog training creche has appealed the council's decision to stop her plans from going ahead.
Planning committee members refused to grant permission to open the canine creche after neighbours raised concerns about noise created by the dogs barking and smells relating to ventilation.
Leah Kellett, who closed Estilo in Darwen Road earlier this month, wanted to use the property to train up to five dogs at a time.
Councillors on the planning committee decided the Bromley Cross property would be unsuitable for dog training purposes.
The dog trainer, who said the decision was "unfair", had already shut her salon before councillors refused permission because her application was recommended for approval.
An appeal was lodged last week.
