PLANS to transform a former pub dating back more than 100 years into a children's nursery have been given the go ahead.
The former Stags Head pub in Junction Road, which closed in 2011, is set to be partly-demolished and refurbished as part of the plans.
The proposed facility will be used as a nursery for children aged two to four with play areas, welfare accommodation and other facilities for staff.
A separate application to build four retail units in the former pub's car park have also been submitted to the council.
