I live in the lovely town of Little Lever.
Despite their being ample rubbish bins in the town centre and the Memorial Park, I regularly pick up plastic and glass bottles (including alcohol), food and sweet wrappers, plastic cutlery, supermarket receipts, drinks cans, fag ends and packets, even dirty nappies!!
In fact all and anything easily disposed of on the pavements. Does no-one care any more, doesn't anyone have any pride or sense of responsibility.
How do these people live, do they drop their unwanted detritus on the floor at home? If the council started litter patrols and introduced fines for dropping it (as they do in the holiday towns), the place would look better and the council would make a fortune - too much to ask I suppose.
